There is no doubt that Callaway had the talent to succeed in the NFL, but he was unable to find a steady job due to off-field issues. The Dolphins felt they could work with Callaway, despite her past.

We did a good job with Antonio, coach Brian Flores said after the Dolphins signed Callaway. We thought it was a chance to add a talented player, and we did. We’ll be working with him in the coming weeks. If we can, we’ll work with him and see where he goes.

The Browns selected Callaway in Florida in the fourth round in 2018 with the 105th overall pick. Global selection. He’s been a controversial pick, with an ugly past with the Gators, but he had a solid rookie season, catching 43 balls for 586 yards and 5 touchdowns last season.

Callaway was suspended for the entire 2017 season at Florida for her role in the credit card fraud. He was also charged with possession of marijuana and investigated for sexual assault while in Gainesville.

Callaway was suspended for the first four games of the season and issued a statement from the Browns shortly after the suspension was announced.

I take full responsibility for my actions. I made a mistake and I stand by it. I have taken steps to get better, and I appreciate the Browns who have supported me during this time. I know there is nothing I can say to regain my trust; it will have everything to do with my actions.

But that never happened and the team had to cut ties with Callaway after another long suspension, and her presence in the locker room was less than ideal.

The signature is a coincidence: The Browns play the Chiefs this week on Sunday in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. While Mr. Callaway may have some information on the Browns’ staff, it’s unlikely he can provide additional information in Kansas City. Cleveland has a nearly new coaching staff and a new offensive approach under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

However, it doesn’t seem like Kansas City is desperate for an extra edge. The Chiefs are currently favored by 10 points against the Browns this week for the divisional round game – the biggest split of the weekend – and are the favorites among the remaining teams to win the Super Bowl.
