Wendy Williams

After news broke that Real Housewives of Salt Lake star Jen Shah had been arrested, Wendy Williams harshly criticized the star during a recent episode of her talk show.

This morning we woke up to Jen’s arrest, Williams began during her Hot Topics segment in a clip uploaded to her Instagram page @bravobybrett. And it looks like she’s going to prison. For the past nine years, she and her adult assistant Stuart have been running a fraudulent telemarketing program. Stuart would be involved too.

Williams continued: If she’s been doing this for nine years, why be on a reality show when she knows it’s a scam? And know that you will eventually be recognized because of your attitude. People want to take you down.

Presenter Wendy Williams also added: People never realized how rich she was. Even Andy Cohen asked him: Where did you get the money? The girls in the show said: Where did you get the money? If people keep asking, coach, it’s up to you to figure it out. You have a 17-year-old and a 25-year-old. Now everyone’s going to suffer….. It’s worse for me than it was for Joe Judith. This is worse than Apollo. That’s the worst. They should be thrown in jail.

Jen Shah was indicted on federal charges

The 30th. In March, Shah was arrested and charged with a federal crime along with his assistant Stuart Smith, who was previously featured in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Shah has been indicted in the Southern District of New York for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in connection with a fraudulent telemarketing scheme.

Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself in the reality show as a wealthy and successful businesswoman, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s top assistant, allegedly made lists of innocent people and sold them to other members of their multiple scam scheme, according to the press release.

According to Utah reporter John Frenchy, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star will not be remanded in custody. Additionally, Frankie stated that Shah and Smith are currently prohibited from traveling outside of Utah and from conducting telemarketing.

Jen Shah is supposed to be mortified by the wholething.

According to a new report from Us Weekly, Shah is mortified by the allegations. Jen is really humbled that this is all happening in public and being talked about on Bravo, a source recently told Us Weekly. The source also said that Shah did not talk to his friends and other caste members during that period.

It seems that Shah’s fears are correct, as a source told People that the women were filming a second season while they were arrested. On Tuesday, the cast took a trip to Vail, including Jen, the source admitted to People. She was filming.
