George Clooney stepped in to defend Tom Cruise, and he doesn’t think he went too far with his explosive tirade about the mission: Impossible 7 set.

An audio recording of Tom, 58, shouting at unidentified crew members after they were convicted of violating coronavirus security rules.

The Hollywood star gave a speech in which she threatened to fire them if they broke the rules again.

Ambulance actor George shared his thoughts about the incident at the Howard Stern Show: He didn’t overreact because it’s a problem. I have a friend who works in another TV show as an advertiser and did almost the same, but not quite the same.

But he gave in: I wouldn’t have made it so hard.

George, 59, move on: I wouldn’t want to, you know, take people out. You’re in a position of power and it’s complicated, isn’t it? You have a responsibility to everyone else, and he’s absolutely right.

And, you know, if production goes down, a lot of people are gonna lose their jobs. People need to understand that and behave responsibly. It’s just not my style to take everyone to work.

Tom’s not the only one playing Ethan Hunt in the blockbuster mission: An impossible franchise, but he is also one of the leading producers.

He shouted out Tom and George’s approach further: I don’t think you should point the finger and do this…. But, you know, everyone has their own style. The people who were on the set will tell us more about it.

I understand why he did it. He’s got a point. You know, I don’t know if I would have done it personally, but I don’t know all the circumstances, maybe he did it 10 or 15 times.

In the audio clip, obtained by The Sun, Tom hears a scream: We’re the gold standard. They are back in Hollywood and now they make movies because of us, because they believe in us and what we do.

I’m on the phone at night with all the fucking studios, the insurance companies, the producers, and they’re watching us and using us to make their films.

We’re creating thousands of jobs, you bastards. I never want to see that again. You can’t!

Speaking to the whole team at Warner Bros. studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, Tom continued: You can say that to people who are losing their damn homes because our industry is closed. He won’t put food on the table and he won’t pay school fees.

This is what I sleep with every night – the future of this damn industry!

He went on to say: We’re not closing the damn movie! Is that clear? If I see him again, you’re screwed.
