Robert Morris vs. West Virginia Overview

Climbers beat Georgetown 80:71. Miles McBride scored 17 points while Derek Culver added 14 points and nine rebounds to the team standings. West Virginia was two lengths behind, and a couple of sparks from the second half they sent over the Hoiami.

Derek came and that changed everything, West Virginia coach Bob Huggins said after his victory. He kept bugging me to try to get back in the game, and in the end I told him I needed him… They’re big boys, Huggins said. They’re not low-maintenance, they’re not serviced. They do what they’re asked to do and they’re really good people.

Between Culver and the great Oscar Chibwe, who added nine points and six rebounds despite the difficulties, the WVU managed to dominate the colour. I think we have two of the best great Americans, added Deuce McBride, who has contributed 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. When Oscar and Derek are playing like we see every day, it’s hard to stop them. It is clear that the colour scheme makes playing around the edge considerably easier.

The climbers take on the group of top climbers who won the 75-57 over Point Park at home. Head Coach Robert Morris Andrew Toole expressed his satisfaction with the overall performance of his team, but also noted some improvements he would like to see in the future.

I think we did something tonight that I really enjoyed and there are definitely things we can work out. Consequence on the attack and defence side, respect for our formula, stay active, no offenses committed. It’s a great tape to teach, Toole said after his victory.

AJ Bramah, Senior Guardsman, led the leaders with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Dante Tracy added 12 points and Olisa Ngonadi finished the bench with 13 points and eight rebounds, two career progressions.

RMU led the whole game and scored 51% off the field, but they were outnumbered with 29-25 victories.

We’ve got some catching up to do, Toole said. We’ll have to teach on tape and hope the guys really understand these concepts, because now that we’ve started, we’re going to keep playing these games. We have to do better, that’s for sure.
