According to Marvel and Disney, the production company behind “Hamilton” is producing a musical based on their comic book universe. The show will be led by songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda who has an Oscar for his work in “Moana.”

The “hawkeye marvel” is a musical that has been in the works for a while. The producer, Greg Haver, wants to make it into a movie or TV show.

Hawkeye-Producer-Wants-to-Make-a-Marvel-Musical

Trinh Tran, a Marvel Studios executive, appreciates Hawkeye’s smash hit Rogers: The Musical and expresses aspirations for a full-fledged Marvel musical. The in-universe Captain America musical, based on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton and Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, contains a show-stopping musical piece about Earth’s mightiest heroes and the Battle of New York, as seen in 2012’s The Avengers. As fans of the Disney+ series want a live-action Rogers: The Musical, the executive producer of Avengers: Endgame and Hawkeye lifts the lid on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s in-universe show-stopper:

“Isn’t it true that I’d want to write a Marvel musical one day? Who wouldn’t want that?” The Reel Rejects were recounted by Tran. “Rogers: When we were in the writers’ room, we had an idea for a musical in the background. It wasn’t like [Clint Barton] was planning on going to an event; it was more like, ‘We’ll see billboards of it.’ How wonderful would it be if we choose a prior event involving the Avengers and created a musical based on it?’”

“It was simply a notion that floated,” Tran recalled of the quickly-retracted prank offered by Hawkeye and Saturday Night Live director Rhys Thomas. “Someone might mention it in the background, or we’d see a poster, but as we spoke more about the musical, people became more enthusiastic about it. It really expanded and developed into a genuine event the more thrilled we became about it.”

Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) grudgingly attends Rogers: The Musical on a family trip on a Christmas holiday in New York in the series premiere of Hawkeye, “Never Meet Your Heroes.” Rogers: The Musical, according to Tran, was almost as embarrassing for the retired Avenger, who left mid-show when he was reminded of his late best friend Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson).

“‘Why not ask the Avengers to something like this, and then just Clint Barton shows up?’ What would his reaction be?” she stated “Because no one else was present, he has to place himself in an unpleasant situation. It was more lighter, which was exactly what we wanted for the series.”

The flamboyant (and historically wrong) Rogers: The Musical came up as “the last place” Clint Barton would want to go, according to Thomas.

“In a meeting with [Marvel Studios president and Hawkeye producer] Kevin Feige, I tossed it out there. And I almost quickly reversed my position on it as well “The roots of Rogers: The Musical were revealed by Thomas to Uproxx. “Because, all of a sudden, I was thinking, “Wait a minute, we’ll have to create music, choreograph it, and stage it.” And there’s still a lot of work to be done. Kevin, on the other hand, grabbed hold of it and became enthralled. Then, all of a sudden, I’m working with [songwriters] Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. I believe I’ve tapped into my ability to create something that’s ‘not too wonderful, not too horrible.’”
