Japanese boyband BTS has been making waves in the music industry this year. The group, which is composed of seven members, has been dominating the K-pop scene with their unique style. They debuted in 2013 with their first single album “O!RUL8,2?” and have been making waves in Korea ever since. Now, they’re rapidly gaining popularity overseas, with the group’s members composing music for hit dramas like “Hwarang” and “Hwarang 2” and premiering their first studio album “Wings” in July of this year.

5. Jay B of Got7
At the end of August, Jay B, an H1GHR Songs artist, will release new songs. After breaking out as a solo artist, this will be his debut mini-album release. Since joining H1GHR, he released his first official song, “Switch It Up,” which featured Sokodomo.
After him, the K-pop star turned R&B/hip-hop soloist changed things up, and the other opted not to extend their contracts with JYP Entertainment. The seven-person group is still operating under the same name, they are focusing on solo singles with their various agencies.

4) Stray Children
The eight-member JYP Entertainment K-pop boy group is returning with a brand new album called “NOEASY.” Pre-orders have already started, and if the trailer is any indication, the record will rock the world.
Stray Kids’ previous album was released on June 26th of this year. A tune from their mixtape effort, “Mixtape: Oh,” was also released.

Tomorrow X Together (or TXT), a Big Hit Music boy band, is preparing to release a repackaged version of their album “The Chaos Chapter: Freeze,” which will be followed by “The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape.”
It is a Big Hit Music-signed five-piece K-pop group. They debuted in 2019 with their EP “The Dream Chapter: Star” and lead single “Crown,” which was published on March 4th. Their last album, “The Chaos Chapter: Freeze,” was released on May 31st.
The film will be released on August 17, 2021.

2) Sunmi
Sunmi, one of South Korea’s most well-known K-pop artists, will be back at the start of August! The 29-year-old starlet will release “1/6,” a six-song mini-album that includes the title hit “You Can’t Sit With Us.”
She was a member of JYP Entertainment’s Wonder Girls, a K-pop girl group. After the band broke up in 2017, she joined ABYSS Company and has been releasing music under the label since then.

Somi, a solo K-pop artist signed to The Black Label, will make her return with “Dumb Dumb,” a new digital single.
Her previous single, “What You Waiting For,” was released in the year 2020 and reached number 53 on the South Korean Gaon chart. The idol was a member of I.O.I, a project female group that dissolved when its time came to an end.
