The NBA trade deadline is usually one of the most exciting parts of the basketball calendar, but this year it might turn out to be a dud. The reason for this has nothing to do with players being bought or sold- rather, it’s due in part because so few teams are willing to make trades at all as they wait on top prospects such as Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett to come into their primes. Here are ten players who will likely leave their team before February 19th.,

The NBA season is in full swing, and we’ve already seen some significant offseason transactions. Russell Westbrook has found a new home in Los Angeles, while the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls have entirely overhauled their teams. There might be even more player movement before the trade deadline this season.
This season, ten NBA players are most likely to be relocated. These ten players might very well be on different clubs in a few months in a league where mobility is not just encouraged but valued. Here is a list of all 10 players that might be relocated, along with their most probable destinations, based on their lack of wins or inability to perform effectively in their present surroundings.
Kevin Love is number ten.
Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers are two possible destinations.
Everyone who follows the NBA knows that the Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to tank, and Kevin Love is not part of that strategy. Kevin Love is averaging 10.8 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game this season, and when his shots fall, he is easily one of the league’s best stretch big men. However, the Cavs must get rid of Love’s deal in order to rebuild, and his approach isn’t conducive to a tanking squad. As a result, many believe Love will be bought out to save the Cavs money.
The Nuggets might be a viable option, since they are in need of extra big man depth after Nikola Jokic’s injury and suspension. They can’t depend on a single player, therefore Love can help a team that wants to compete by providing size and shooting. A lineup that includes Jokic and Love also widens the field at all three levels, making Denver even more dangerous on offense. Portland could also employ Love’s shooting, allowing them to have five players on the court who can shoot the ball. Portland is desperate to return to the Western Conference Finals, and a shot at Love may help them get there.

Tatum and Brown are in charge of the offense, scoring and setting up others, even though Smart feels Brown isn’t quite there yet. Smart was re-signed by the Celtics under a team-friendly deal that allows them to add players or move Smart for more appealing offers.
The Celtics aren’t winning anything right now, and Smart might be sacrificed as a consequence. Even though the Los Angeles Clippers have already signed Eric Bledsoe, the guard may be packaged with Luke Kennard and some draft selections to get Smart out of Boston. Otherwise, the Celtics can cash in on Dallas Mavericks draft selections, which may include some intriguing players. Boston is unlikely to make a Smart trade unless it is for a game-changer, which does not seem to be the case right now.
Jerami Grant, No. 6

Jerami Grant is a fascinating player to watch. The 6’8″ striker has always been a great defender, but he’s also developed into a solid scorer. Grant, who was a contender for Most Improved Player last season, is averaging 19.0 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Detroit Pistons this season. Cashing in on Grant for the purpose of developing Cade Cunningham may be a good move for Detroit.
Moving Grant to a playoff club like the 76ers may be a wonderful option for the Pistons, who are likely to be content tanking for next year’s draft. Although playmaking is out of the question, the forward may perhaps replace Simmons on defense and in scoring. Grant may be a 76er if Philly gets tired of Simmons and trades him to Detroit for other players and picks. Otherwise, the Memphis Grizzlies should go all-in on Grant to complement Ja Morant and Jarrett Jackson Jr. on the court.
Pascal Siakam, No. 5

After losing Kyle Lowry, the Toronto Raptors have a lot of thinking to do, including deciding what to do with Pascal Siakam. The big guy is a great player, but he isn’t a franchise-building leader. That is clear given that the Cameroonian has only played in eight games since returning from injury and has failed to make an impact. Siakam, who averages 17.8 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game, is not a max player but does have a max deal.
This should not detract from Siakam’s value to a club, since he is a versatile striker who can both score and defend. Most significantly, as a sidekick to another superstar, he has championship experience. That implies Siakam would be an excellent fit for the Atlanta Hawks if they decide to part ways with Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, Danilo Gallinari, or even John Collins. The Clippers are in desperate need of a star right now, and Wall provides it because, even if he isn’t a superstar, he is an excellent player. Wall gives a squad that depends on George to do everything some speed and playmaking. Finally, Cleveland needs a new point guard after Collin Sexton was out for the full season due to injury. While Darius Garland develops, Wall may step in and help the Cavaliers to the playoffs. Garland has a chance to make the All-Star team, and Wall could serve as his on-court coach.
Christian Wood is number three.

The Houston Rockets are now in disarray because to concerns about its young players and head coach.
